A Very Liquid Experience

If you're in Essex or Morris County, you have to head over to the Morristown Hyatt at least once on a Sunday.

Liquid Church has taken over the conference and meeting space in the hotel every Sunday to carry our 3 church worship services - 10am, 4pm, 6:30pm.

Led by Pastor Tim Lucas, it's definitely one of the contemporary post-modern church experiences everyone should have at least once. More than likely, you'll fall in love with the energy and tangibly "feeling" people worship God.

This ain't the church you grew up with. Get ready to experience worship in a very very new way.

I thought this worship style was only available on the West Coast at a New Song Church or North Coast Church type setting, but East Coasters definitely can have it too!

Unlikely Halloween

One of the last places you'd associate with jugglers, pumpkin painting, spooky storytimes, talking deer heads mounted on walls and face painting would be a museum.

But that's exactly where we went this Saturday afternoon -- to the Morris Museum in Morristown NJ. Although it certainly wasn't cheap ($30 for a family of 4), it was a unique and fun event. The staff put a lot of effort into making it fun for the kids with different planned activities and scavenger hunt throughout the museum.

Hits with the kids at this Morris Museum Halloween Extravaganza:
  • Face painting
  • Story time
  • Make your own Boo-bracelets
  • And the juggler who seems to following us around everywhere we turned

Sweet Endings in Dublin

We met again at the Dublin Pub Friday night in the back room for a great session of classic table fellowship.

The Prime Rib special was a treat. But if you want to ensure a sweet ending to any meeting at the Dublin Pub in Morristown NJ -- literally -- then here's my tip for the day - do some strategic planning when ordering and get the dessert orders in before you do anything! The homemade desserts are a fine feast by themselves and the one that you'll want to feast upon later might not be there anymore. RESERVE your dessert before you even go for that first drink to start the night.

You'll thank me for this tip on your next trip to the Morristown landmark next to the theatre when you're enjoying your sweet ending to your night.

I'm off to Dublin...just not in Ireland

That's the Dublin Pub at 4 Pine Street Morristown, New Jersey (telephone 973-538-1999).
We have a meeting tonight in the back room and I was told that I should try out the good old fish and chips -- one of my favorite dishes that I can't resist whenever seen on a menu. The restuarant is on the corner, right next to the theater in Morristown and across the street from the Library.
There are a bunch of interesting local restuarants in Morristown and this is my first trip to on in the cozy town.
I hope that it's worth going to Dublin for!
